We are a piano company based in New Jersey and we shipped one of our pianos to a customer of ours in Vancover. I was looking for a piano tuner to tune our customer's piano after we delivered it. Our customer had the piano delivered to a store and needed the piano tuned within a couple of days. Jay was so accomodating to our customer, and did a wonderful job tuning the piano. My 50-year old Steinway upright grand was recently tuned by Jay Esplana. Not only is he a diligent worker, but also a person who loves pianos. I had not kept my piano tuned, so Jay had his work cut out for him! He lovingly restored the tonal quality of the instrument and my piano responded to his capable attentions. My 6-year-old son was demonstrating an interest in playing the piano and I required a knowledgeable and reputable piano tuner. Jay tuned/serviced our 40+ year old piano, which has sat idle for the past 10+ years. I was anticipating major issues to be identified once the piano was opened as a previous piano tuner was unable to fix a number of "sticky" keys. However, Jay performed a standard tuning service and fixed all the sticky keys within the allotted timeframe! He provided a thorough and detailed explanation of the work he completed and future/ongoing maintenance. In addition, our family was privileged to a mini piano performance by Jay showcasing his piano skills – an outstanding pianist.
